From my 2007 vol. 2 catalog order. This is a badass set. It has a surprising amount of detail available, if you have the time. Not long after opening the boxes, I found that each car comes with 2 coupler cut bars (one for each side of the car) that can be glued into place. The cut bars are left off because they can only be added if you have curves wider than O-54 (which I do, of course). In addition to the cut bars, the cars also come with long chains and load adjusters. You have to cut the chains to the proper length, and then secure them over each tank by fastening them to the load adjusters, which in turn fasten to the floor of the cars. It was quite a bit of work, taking me about 4 or 5 hours to complete all 6 cars, but it was quite worth it as the result was some very realistic looking flat cars. Well done, MTH. Made in 2007, added to my set in April 2008. |
