Lionel’s Vision Line GE Evolution Hybrid
Thursday, February 25th, 20102 new turntable stalls to be built
Wednesday, February 17th, 2010I’ve decided to expand the turntable by adding 2 new stalls, bringing the total number of stalls to 16. There’s no room for full stalls capable of hold engines, but I can squeeze in 2 small stalls that will be capable of hold small MOW vehicles such as the new TMCC equipped trackmobile that I ordered from Lionel’s 2009 Vol. 2 catalog. I will park the trackmobile in 1 of the new stalls and probably Lionel ballast tamper in the 2nd new stall. I plan to install a “Mini Commander 2” board in the ballast tamper so that it will be under TMCC control.
Dennis Brennan
Monday, February 8th, 2010So over the past week or so I’ve ordered a bunch of new scenic supplies from Dennis Brennan. Dennis runs Brennans Model Railroading Products and writes a lot of stuff for CTT Magazine. His “Sandy Harbor Terminal Ry” layout has been featured in many magazines. He recently published a book on Hi Rail scenery and he was kind enough to send me an autographed copy. In short, Dennis is a master of scenery and his book is really worth checking out. I’ve had several long conversation with him over the last week or so and he’s just a storehouse of cool scenic knowledge. If you’re looking to build a train layout, you need to buy his book.
